N1,N2-Bis(2,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)oxalamide

N¹,N²-Bis(2,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)oxalamide is an oxalohydrazide-type ligand for copper-catalyzed bond formation. Its donor-containing oxalyl framework coordinates copper and supports catalytic coupling of aromatic halides with nitrogen or oxygen nucleophiles. The ligand is used as a reaction additive alongside the copper source, rather than as a stoichiometric fragment incorporated into the target molecule.

Reported applications include aryl amination, phenol arylation and visible-light-assisted ether formation. Its role is to create a productive copper coordination environment for those transformations.
