(6S)-2-Amino-6-propionamido-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzothiazole

(S)-N-(2-Amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzothiazol-6-yl)propanamide is the propionamide intermediate associated with pramipexole synthesis. It carries the required chiral tetrahydrobenzothiazole framework and a three-carbon acyl group on the ring-bound nitrogen. Reduction of the amide carbonyl converts that propionyl group into the N-propyl substituent of pramipexole.

The selected S-configured material therefore combines stereochemical input with a direct precursor to the final amine side chain. The 2-amino group remains part of the heterocyclic pharmacophore as the propionamide is transformed.
