3-Chloro-5-acetyliminodibenzyl

3-Chloro-5-acetyliminodibenzyl is an N-acetylated dibenzazepine intermediate carrying an aromatic chlorine substituent. It supplies a preassembled tricyclic framework for further synthesis and an aryl-halide position for carbon–carbon bond construction. The acetyl group masks the ring nitrogen, allowing the aromatic substitution pattern to be manipulated separately from later nitrogen functionalization.
