Sodium glucoheptonate solution (50% aqueous)

Sodium glucoheptonate is a sugar-derived complexing agent used to keep suitable metal ions in solution. Its carboxylate and multiple hydroxyl groups form soluble complexes, reducing interference from hardness and trace metals. This helps maintain cleaning performance and bath stability in industrial aqueous formulations.

The selected product is a liquid industrial grade at nominal 50% concentration, consistent with the commercial solution form. It is distinct from sodium gluconate and from crystalline glucoheptonate grades with separately specified identity. In cleaning and textile processes, the main contribution is sequestration rather than direct detergency. In formulated process fluids, it can also help maintain metal-ion availability without precipitation.
