1,6-Bis(N,N-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio)hexane

1,6-Bis(N,N-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio)hexane is a bifunctional sulfur-containing crosslinker used in diene-rubber vulcanization. Its two reactive ends introduce network connections incorporating an organic hexamethylene spacer. These hybrid connections improve resistance to reversion and help retain rubber properties during extended thermal exposure.

The selected material is the KA9188 chemical type, not a conventional single-ended accelerator. It modifies cure chemistry and the resulting network within an appropriately designed sulfur-vulcanization package. Natural rubber, isoprene rubber and suitable diene-rubber blends are established substrates. Its useful contribution concerns network durability under heat and dynamic loading, while ozone protection and bulk oxidation stabilization remain separate formulation functions.

Typical Applications

• Tire rubber compounds: Used in suitable natural-rubber and synthetic-diene blends to improve reversion resistance and retention of properties after thermal exposure.
• Thick industrial rubber moldings: Used where prolonged curing or service heat makes network degradation a concern in appropriately formulated compounds.
• Dynamic rubber products: Used as a network modifier in suitable belts, mounts and other repeatedly stressed articles requiring durable vulcanized structures.
